What version of Mastercam is needed to migrate files from an older release
Problem
Files from an older release of Mastercam need to be migrated to a newer version. These files can be part files, machine definitions, control definitions, and posts.
Cause
Each release of Mastercam only supports back to a certain version, so sometimes a direct migration is not possible. To get some files from a release more than 3 back, multiple migrations will be necessary.
Solution
The table below shows the released version of Mastercam and what file versions it supports. The yellow is what machine, control, post, and other files can be migrated from. The blue and yellow together represent the older part files that can be directly opened in that version. The UpdatePost.dll will allow post files, older than what is on the chart, to be updated.
